Philippine Money P20, P50, P100, P200, P500, and P1,000 New Designs Released (Photos)
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on Thursday, December 16th, launched the new generation Philippine bank notes at the Ceremonial Hall in Malacañang with no less than President Benigno Aquino III, who called the new Peso bills as “a portrait of changing times and of the enduring tapestry of our history,” as the keynote speaker – GMANewsTv Reports.
The BSP will start producing the new bills this month, but the old bills are still considered legal tender and are expected to remain in circulation for around three more years.
All six denominations — P20, P50, P100, P200, P500, and P1,000 — have new designs and security features. Below are the new designs. Photo courtesy of bsp.gov.ph.
